OFDM Fundamental Principles
OFDM: Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) serves as the core technology for fourth-generation mobile communications. This article provides a concise introduction to OFDM fundamentals, with primary focus on analyzing how guard intervals (CP) and various channel estimation methods impact OFDM system performance under both Gaussian channels and multipath Rayleigh fading channels under ideal synchronization conditions. Based on the OFDM system model presentation, we implement complete computer simulations using MATLAB with reference design code, including detailed explanations of key algorithms and implementation approaches.
