Detailed Documentation
In this project, I have developed a Pulse Interval Decoder (PIE) specifically for RFID applications. The decoder is implemented as an embedded Simulink model that incorporates key signal processing algorithms for precise pulse interval decoding. The model utilizes timestamp-based processing to measure intervals between signal transitions, employing digital filters for noise reduction and threshold detection for reliable signal identification. Its state machine architecture handles various decoding states including preamble detection, data extraction, and error checking. The embedded implementation allows seamless integration with RFID hardware systems, while the Simulink environment provides a visual interface for parameter tuning and real-time simulation. This PIE decoder significantly enhances RFID system performance by ensuring accurate data decoding, improving transmission reliability, and offering customizable processing parameters. The model's modular design facilitates easy adaptation to different RFID protocols and requirements.
