In this study, we conduct comprehensive MATLAB simulations to analyze MIMO system capacity under various configurations of transmit antennas, receive antennas, and signal-to-noise ratios (SNR). Our simulation approach involves implementing capacity calculation algorithms using key MATLAB functions such as random channel matrix generation and eigenvalue decomposition. Through these simulation experiments, we establish a significant conclusion: MIMO channels can multiplicatively enhance wireless channel capacity without requiring additional bandwidth or increased antenna transmit power. This finding carries substantial implications for wireless communication fields as it provides an effective method to improve wireless signal transmission efficiency. By leveraging MIMO technology, we can simultaneously utilize spatial diversity between multiple transmit and receive antennas, thereby substantially increasing system capacity. This implementation demonstrates that through proper channel matrix manipulation and capacity calculation algorithms, we can achieve higher data transmission rates and more reliable communication connections without modifying existing hardware configurations. Consequently, MIMO technology finds widespread application in wireless communications and is recognized as one of the crucial technologies for future wireless communication systems.
