OFDM Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction Algorithm Simulation

Resource Overview

Course project featuring self-developed OFDM PAPR reduction algorithm simulations (coding-based approach and SLM-based method), including comprehensive simulation report with MATLAB implementation details

Detailed Documentation

In this course project, I independently developed and simulated algorithms for OFDM Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) reduction. The implementation includes two primary approaches: a coding-based method that utilizes specific code sequences to reduce amplitude peaks, and a Selective Mapping (SLM) technique that generates multiple candidate signals with different phase sequences to select the one with minimal PAPR. The simulation framework was built using MATLAB, incorporating key functions for OFDM signal generation, PAPR calculation, and optimization algorithms. Through systematic testing and parameter tuning, I successfully demonstrated significant PAPR reduction while maintaining signal integrity. The detailed simulation report documents the complete research process, algorithm performance comparisons, and quantitative results analysis, providing comprehensive insights into PAPR reduction techniques for OFDM systems.
